SAUERKRAUT BALLS
by Ted Peterson
Some people do not like
sauerkraut. With this way
you can make sauerkraut so that they may like it.
2 tablespoon
flour.
1 beaten
egg.
¼ to 1/3
cup cheese (Parmesan is best).
1/3 to ½
cup bread crumbs.
8 to 10
ounces sauerkraut.
1 pkg
tooth picks.
Rinsed and drain the
sauerkraut. When this is
done, mix all the food ingredients together until well blended.
Form into ¾ to 1 inch balls
and cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 3 minutes or until the balls are
firm. Some microwave
may cook faster and the balls can be done in 2 minutes.
You can also cook on the stove
with some cooking oil and quickly brown the balls before serving.
Some people will add 1/3 to ½
pound of beef, or corned beef, or sausage into the mix above.
Serve them by sticking a tooth
pick into each and have them on a plate. You now have a good appetizer.
Good luck.
