Here is a good recipe for breading fish fillets.
.
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs. (see note below)
2 tablespoon margarine (you can use butter)
1/2 teaspoon curry powder.
1/8 teaspoon salt.
1 lb fish fillets.
Dash garlic powder.
.
In place of the bread crumbs you can use cracker crumbs and other items in your home. The fish can be ether fresh or frozen. If frozen, thaw them out.
Cut the fish so that it is only 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick. In a bowl combine the crumb, salt, garlic powder, and curry powder. Melt the margarne and set aside.
Take the fish and brush the top and sides with the melted margarine. At that point then coat the tops and sides of the fish with the crumb coating.
Cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Brush off any dry looking crumb coating and then serve it.
