BREAD PUDDING |

| To make a good bread pudding , follow the following recipe. |

| 3 to 4 slicws of day-old bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes/ (about 2 1/2 cups) |
| 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. |
| 3 eggs. |
| 1/3 cups raisin bits. |
| 1/4 cup sugar. |
| 1 1/2 cups milk (or 1 can evaporated milk.) |
| 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg. |

| Combine the milk and sugar and cook until it just about to the boiling point. Stir so that the sugar is dissolved. Beat the eggs and gradually stir into the above misture, then add the bread cubes, nutmeg and vanilla. |
| Cook the above and then stir in the raisins until done. |
| This pudding is done when a knife inserted 1 inch from the edge will come out clean. |
| Let it cool before eating. |
